McDonalds Crow, a poem by Ed KeenanMcDonalds Crow

McDonalds Crow
—A Palm Springs vignette

Like a homeless black man,
a McDonalds crow
rips open a stale bag of fries
wasted by a wealthy child,
and the mother feeds
the pampered dog
pieces of fresh burger meat.

A McDonalds crow
and a rich man’s dog
are better off
than a homeless black man.
